Two big boxes were delivered yesterday – boxes full of copies of Stalker, all ready for my launch event in a few weeks’ time. I now have to sit down and write my signature on each one so I don’t make an over-excited scrawl when the first sales are made.
I can’t believe I’ve got there – a huge thanks to all the people who encouraged me and gave me the confidence to put the story out there: my daughter who said she
was fascinated by the boarding-school life the book describes; my friend Gary Hicks who introduced me to SilverWood, and Professor Geoffrey Eathorne who rang
me up in the middle of the night after reading the draft.
Am now waiting for publication day, and in the meantime carrying on with
marketing activity. It makes the writing look easy in hindsight. About to go off to Greece before P-day, and calm my nerves.
